The Tunnel was not very long, but was fun to walk through. There were a couple closed rooms behind closed steel doors. I had fun taking pictures in there and at the end, it opened up to a beautiful pine forest!

In the forest there was this interesting bunker? Closed off. Makes one wonder what was behind that door... Looking back you can see the bunker and the tunnel back entrance.
|
| The next tunnel was square in shape, was about the same length as the first and had more sealed off rooms. Well, all but one which had no door. It was pitch black in there so I used the flash to reveal what the room looked like. Now I see why they kept the other rooms sealed off...

| The end of this tunnel opened up to something which looked like it might have inspired one of those computer games... Well, kinda. This was where one of those huge guns would have been located. It was pretty cool.

| This gun would have had quite the view looking due West out over Point Bonita. It also had quite a picturesque setting nestled in among the trees.

A walk up and around over the top of gun tunnel, through a forest of lichen covered pine trees, there was this interesting building sitting on top of the hill. It looked like it once must have been completely covered by earth and rocks. One room was flooded with murky brown water from a recent storm, but the other was higher up and though a squeeze to climb into, was a fun room to photograph.

| Before I left, I took a few more fun pictures. One looking toward the sun over the water just came out nice and another of the chert bedrock underlying the headlands. Amazing to think that this rock is from deep sea deposits now thrust up thousands of feet high to form such a spectacular and beautiful area.
