The next day was the Wolf Birthday. It turned out to be a very nice day too. Lots of people showed up, the wolves did some nice howling and after a howling contest for kids to test their skills, we all went up and in with the wolves for a handling demonstration.

Tybor getting a bit of a scratch from Jen. Tybor is looking a bit old, but then he is 11 years old today!

     Oh, just the right spot!

Tybor likes Robin a lot too. Wolf kissies :-)

OK, who's kissing who now? Billie kissing Tybor.

An excellent way to handle socialized wolves. Sit for treats and take gently rather than mugging people for goodies. Positive reward training really helps in the social relationship and makes working with wolves fun for both species!

     Tybor and a birthday treat.

It takes him awhile to go through that pig ear these days...

Ah, that's better, a nice meaty birthday bone :-)

An example of why wide angle lenses should NOT be used when photographing wolves :-)

OK, and now for something completely different, Jen and a bobcat kitten! And no, the kitties do not get to play with the woofies...
